چکیده

Idaho is a major malt barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) producer in the United States. Production concentrated semi-arid Snake River Plain region of southern Idaho. Irrigation and fertilizer N applications are two most important managed factors. Research was conducted at University Kimberly & Extension Center near Kimberly, ID, to determine yield, grain quality, characteristics as affected by application rate (0, 56, 112, 168 kg ha?1) final irrigation timing Feekes 10.0 (boot; F10.0), 11.2 (soft dough; F11.2), +7 d after (+7F11.2). termination F10.0 resulted decreased yields unacceptable across rates. F11.2 +7F11.2 yielded 6,439 ha?1 56 ha?1, similar higher applications. Greater predicted up 6,886 were calculated regression analysis with 147 ha?1. Grain protein, plumps, test weights did not differ any for or +7F11.2. Malt extract, free amino N, diastatic power irrigations. ?-glucan content treatment, but reductions 30 mg kg?1 measured rates irrigation. Results warrant further investigations into increased provide evidence effects cutoff barley.

Yield and Qualitative Traits of Sesame as Affected by Irrigation Interval, N Fertilizer and Superabsorbent

In order to study the effect of irrigation interval, N fertilizer and superabsorbent on yield and qualitative traits of sesame (Sesamum indicum L.), a split-split-plot experiment was coducted in a farm in Khusf of Birjand, Iran in 2009 on the basis of a Randomized Complete Block Design. The main plot was devoted to irrigation interval at three levels of 6, 12 and 18 days, the sub-plot was devot...

Evapotranspiration and yield of okra as affected by partial root-zone furrow irrigation

Partial root-zone drying or partial root-zone irrigation is a newly proposed water saving technique which may improve water use efficiency and nutrient uptake by a crop without affecting its yield. A study was conducted to investigate the response of furrow-irrigated okra to partial root zone drying in relation to cropevapotranspiration (ETc), vegetative growth, yield, and nutrient use effi...

Sugarbeet Yield and Quality as Affected by Nitrogen Level

Thii study was conducted, under several climatic and soil conditions, to determine the effect of N level on beet yield and quality and to further develop and me both soil and tissue test methods for predicting N fertilizer needs for efficient refined sucrose production. Previous studies indicate that N fertilizer needs for =Wm= sucrose production may be predicted by con. sidering yieldpotential...
